The mission of BEN is poverty alleviation through the promotion of the use of the bicycle in all of its forms,in order to enhance low-cost non-motorised transport, and improve health through linking exercise and mobility. In collaboration with local and international partners, BEN facilitates the transportation of bicycles from Europe, the Americas and Asia to Southern Africa; the establishment of bicycle workshop projects; distribution of these bicycles to strategically selected groups of recipients; and the planning and introduction of bicycle user paths and integrated linking networks

We need your old bicycles so that we may distribute them throughout the country and contribute towards alleviating poverty

Objectives

improve the nutritional well-being of the poor
promote the dissemination of knowledge about poverty and malnutrition in South Africa
improve existing facilities to reduce malnutrition in South Africa
promote the capacity of communities to reduce malnutrition in South Africa and to render financial assistance to develop such programmes
Cooperate with communities, organisations and authorities to combat malnutrition generally

We Need:

Money for the initial establishment of income-generating projects in poor (mostly rural) communities. Food supplies for targeted family feeding.

Africa Adventure initiated the Africa Adventure Cape to Cape Foundation to make a difference in the lives of young people throughout Africa.

Charitable Objectives:

To utilise the resources of the Foundation and those available through partners in the tourism industry sharing a common goal, to empower youth through scholarships and bursaries for programs in keeping with the Foundation’s Educational and Developmental Objectives and providing books and / or equipment for programs in line with the Foundation’s objectives.
